Toute l’équipe BISO est heureuse d’annoncer les artistes sélectionnés pour la résidence de l’édition 2025 à Ouagadougou !
Après ses trois premières éditions : Oser inventer l’avenir en 2019, L’Aventure ambiguë en 2021 et en 2023 avec Le Feu des origines, cette 4e édition intitulée Insoutenable frontière place les résidences de création au centre de l’événement.
Suite à l’appel à candidatures auquel ont répondu plus de 120 artistes, 16 sculpteurs et plasticiens de quinze nationalités différentes ont été sélectionnés pour la résidence de création qui se déroulera du 17 octobre au 20 novembre 2025 à Ouagadougou. Ces résidences accompagnent les artistes dans l’exploration de nouvelles techniques et favorisent l’échange des savoir-faire avec les artisans, artistes et designers burkinabés.
L’exposition ouvrira au public du 20 au 24 novembre 2025 dans l’amphithéâtre du FESPACO à Ouagadougou.

The BISO team is pleased to share the artists selection for the residencies of the 2025 edition!
After the first three editions, in 2019 with Dare to Invent the future, in 2021 with The Ambiguous Adventure and in 2023 with The Fire of Origins, this fourth edition called Unbearable Border places the residencies at the center of the event.
Following a call for applications with more than 120 applications, 16 sculptors and visual artists of fifteen different nationalities have been selected to take part in the creative residency, which will run from 17 October to 20 November 2025 in Ouagadougou. The residencies are designed to help artists explore new techniques, and to encourage the exchange of know-how with Burkinabé craftsmen, artists and designers.
The exhibition will open to the public from 20 to 24 November 2025 in the FESPACO amphitheatre in Ouagadougou.
